Thanks for clicking on me! My name is Eric R. Armstrong and I’m an Associate Broker and REALTOR® with EXIT Heart of Texas Realty located in the Central Texas community of Copperas Cove. As a REALTOR® I help people buy and sell homes as residential homes and / or investment properties in the Fort Hood Area. The communities I specialize in include Copperas Cove, Gatesville, Harker Heights, Kempner, Killeen, Lampasas, and Nolanville which are in Bell, Coryell, Lampasas and a bit of Burnet Counties. In 2012 I took the leap of working for myself after 25 years in the U.S. Air Force and Defense Industry and earned my Texas real estate license and have had a great time and success ever since! It’s most gratifying to see happy home buyers and home sellers conclude a successful transaction. Just getting a real estate license isn’t enough. That’s why I aggressively continue to further my real estate education and experience. Of particular note, I’m one out of about 11 percent of REALTORS® that have earned a Graduate of REALTOR® Institute (GRI) certification. Also, because we’re located adjacent to Fort Hood and many of our clients serve in the military, I earned certification as a Military Relocation Professional (MRP). In all, I’ve amassed over 400 hours of classroom education that allows me to best serve my clients. I’ve worked with EXIT Heart of Texas (and their previous franchise, Avalar Real Estate) in Copperas Cove since 2012. As a “retired” military officer, I’ve experienced the frequent Permanent Change of Station (PCS) moves as many in our community. The military ensured I “moved often” and had about a 17 month average Time on Station throughout my 23 years of active duty! Additionally, educators have a very special place in my heart as I’ve been married to a second-generation teacher going on 30 years! Some more about me... I’m an Air Force veteran with 23 years at 11 bases around the world. After my military career, I served another couple years as a defense contractor here at Fort Hood. My wife, Julie and I have been married since 1986 and have three fantastic sons. Julie is a second-generation educator in the Copperas Cove Independent School District. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Angelo State University and a Master's Degree in Administration from Central Michigan University. I’m also a graduate of Squadron Officer's School, Air Command & Staff College and Air War College. I earned my Texas Real Estate Salesperson's License in 2012 and am an active member of the Fort Hood Area Association of Realtors, the Texas Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. In my spare time, I am quite active in my community. I volunteer as the Charter Organization Representative for the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 222 on Fort Hood, I’m an active member of the Copperas Cove Rotary Club (President 2015-2016) as well as a Board Member of the Copperas Cove Education Foundation. I’m also a member of the Veterans of Foreign War, the American Legion and the Society of Logistics Engineers.
